From the Sosaku Hanga club magazine, "Kitsutsuki". The name means 'Woodpecker', metaphorical for a woodblock print artist chiseling wood little by little. Vol. 2 An artist is drawing portraits of the customers. Lots of people gather around him. "He charged 30 cents and spent 5 minutes for a portrait. I felt sympathetic toward him because he was the same poor artist as I was." according to Susumu Yamaguchi.
