Wednesday, 5 September 2007 Original Japanese woodblock print by Bakufu Ohno (1888 ? 1976) and published in 1951 by Kyoto Hana-in. Signed and sealed in the lower right corner of the print together with the publisher’s stamp in the lower left corner margin. This is one of four similar prints now at auction that depict four stages in rice growing. This one is titled “Rice Reaping” as titled on the web site of OHMI gallery that shows a large selection of Bakufu Ohno’s woodblock prints. DIMENSIONS: Sheet size 15.625 x 10.625 inches. CONDITION: Very good; it is lightly glued at the left corners to a backing paper as issued; otherwise nearly pristine. Not laid down.
