Seal artist's seal (tamenobu) Dated 1890 Technique/Medium Woodblock print Impression excellent - very good Colors excellent - very good Condition excellent - very good Description "Tokaido Meisho Hiza Kurige" (Famous Places of Tokaido; Shanks Mare) Station Mitsuke. This series depicts the scenes from the popular novel, "Tokaido-chu Hiza Kurige" (Shanks Mare) by Jippensha Ikku. The mis-adventures by the funny travellers, Mr.Yaji and Mr. Kita who single-handedly demolished all the inns along the Tokaido but not even arrested.
