Print no. 64 of the series: "Famous Views of the Sixty-odd Provinces" Aburatsu Port was an important harbor since the Nara period (710−794). Here, the highly-skilled printer chose to use wood blocks with prominent grain patterns to create texture in monochromatic areas, such as the expanse of water as.
