This is an original modern Japanese woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) titled "Kokeshi". The print is sealed in the image, pencil signed by the artist at the lower right margin, titled in English and Kanji, and edition 5/100. This print is in very good condition. Fine impression, color and bleedthrough. Extensive use of silver mica throughout the image. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not laid down or trimmed. "Self-carved self-printed" tissue tag still attached to the verso. Image size is 15" x 22.5", paper size is 18" x 24".
